Advertising in the Aviation Directory couldn't be easier. As shown in the picture, the red box highlights where the text advertisements will appear whenever someone searches. Just like in other non-aviation search engines text based advertising links have proven to be an extremely effective way to reach targeted audiences.
Here are the simple steps to ensuring that your organisation is featured in the aviation directory.
1. You will need to either login to Downwind with your account or create a new account by clicking here.
2. Now add your organisation to the Aviation Directory by either clicking here or highlighting the "Flying Resources" and then "Aviation Directory" menus and click on "Add Directory Entry". You can then fill out the details for your company in the "Contact Details" and "Categories" tabs. Please contact Downwind by clicking here if you already have an entry so that we can delete the old one for you. The "Search" tab is for those people who wish to add the search engine to their own website.
3. Now click on the advertising tab and you will see a page where you can fill in the fields to create your advertisement. Each field represents one line in the ad and the last line can be a link where you would like prospective customers to go to when they click on your advertisement. Fill out the form and click the "Send" button at the bottom of the page to save your advertisement and listing.
4. To activate your advertisement you will need to go to the Downwind Search Advertising payment area (click here) which is located in "About Downwind / Advertising / Search".
