Yes it has been a long time since my last post. This is because I have been heavily occupied with other commitments, not to mention some intensive flying.
Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to pass my PPL flight test and finally have an upgrade to the SPL (which I will not have for some time due to the CASA Christmas break).
It has only taken just over two years to get to this point; just under two years since my first solo in January 2009 and GFPT pass in May 2009.
I won't be going into too much detail about the flight test itself, but am pleased to have a full licence that allows me into controlled airspace (which was tested during the flight test).
I hope to post some reports of some PPL flights in the near future once my licence arrives and the bank balance gets time to recover from the many recent long flights. The plan for now is to continue flying at RVAC Moorabbin and to look to future endorsements as time goes on to enhance my skills. I have just over 100 hours flying experience to date, so a CPL is also not out of the question down the track.

Well done "themit".....as always, its the journey not the destination
Nice start for the New Year.
A fantastic Christmas present.
