A few weekends ago I went up for more Cross Wind Operations. This time with a different instructor. We flew out to Oakey again as the wind was from 090 & was fairly consistant down to the ground. I did 3 xwind touch & goes on runway 05 & then 3 on runway 14, allowing me to experience xwind from both sides of the aircraft. Talk about tricky.... not only the landing, but the xwind takeoff too!
I got the hang of it though... and thoroughly enjoyed it.
After getting back to the airfield in Toowoomba, I had a short break & the instructor sent me up to do solo crosswind operation.
All in all, I got 1.5hrs dual & 1hr solo logged.
I should be flying this saturday, hopefully doing short/soft field takeoff/landings.
On another note, our house settled today & I finish work in 2 days! Then it's full-time flying.
